Characterized by its long cascading spines, lions mane is a species of tooth fungus, often found growing in hardwood trees. 

It is widely known for its brain boosting properties but is also a delicious mushroom to eat. It has a mildly sweet, seafood flavour similar to lobster or crab meat and makes an excellent dupe for vegan cooking.
